For 18+ years, I've been designing in-depth customer experiences across digital platforms for brands that include Amazon, Jet, Apple, Nike, Walmart and Facebook.

My speciality is in design thinking, process and design team operations. My aim is to cultivate our craft while empathizing with customer and business needs. That means nurturing relationships with those sans "designer" title in order to build trust and understanding.

My passion is empowering designers to explore big ideas while nailing the fundamentals. Having led teams of junior to senior level designers, I believe it's my responsibility to mentor and pass down my experiences for others to grow from. Whether on my team or on adjacent ones, I'm always here to listen, strategize and act upon the right next step.

When I'm offline, you'll find me logging 25-30 miles a week on running paths and in road races (@rickyrunfast). Give me a pen and I'll show you my love for calligraphy and hand lettering (@rickscripts). Traveling keeps me sane by way of finding the tastiest of foods and the bluest of waters (@perroandkitty). I'm also lucky to have married my best friend, have an energetic toddler and live a beachy life in sunny San Diego, CA ☀️🌴
